This book includes practice questions covering all of the topics from Level 4 that may appear in the SATs tests. The non-fiction sections begin with an introduction defining the topic and explaining why it is important. Flow charts explain the key elements and practice questions, split into long and short tasks, help children master this type of writing.
The fiction sections introduce children to the classic story structure and provide advice and practice questions to help them master the key features including settings and character descriptions. Useful planning grids for each genre of fiction are followed by lots of independent writing tasks to complete. Additional support is also given in spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, handwriting and reviewing your work. The answers can be found in a pull-out section in the middle of the book, which can be removed by a parent or teacher.
