This printable pack contains colour coded high frequency words from the National Literacy Strategy Phases 2 to 5 plus the next 200 words. These cards are extra special because on the reverse they have box fonts, this helps children to remember the shapes of the letters when they write the word. (See the picture example at the top) Laminating the cards once printed will help protect them which you'll be able to wipe clean after your child has written the word.
- Use for sentence building using all or some sets of the cards
- Play games by sharing out a number of cards per person (e.g. 5), leaving a communal pile and taking turns to pick a word from the pile to add to your collection. The first player to make a sentence of say at least 5 words is the winner. Score by number of words in the sentence or by who gets a sentence first.
- Play snap with multiple sets for example days of the week.
- Play pairs with two sets of cards.
Perfect for young children learning first words and dyslexic children who need repetition of words.
